Wilmer Sound was founded by Alex Wilmer and Sae Wilmer in 2015 in Berkeley California, with the mission of enhancing the lives of all it touches.

Alex Wilmer began his career working in the film industry, starting as a Sound Designer with Berkeley Sound Artists on HBO’s Oscar-nominated Conscience of Nhem En; PBS’s Oscar-nominated The Most Dangerous Man in America; HBO’s Primetime Emmy-winning White Light/Black Rain; and Mastering Engineer on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Live. He then moved to the video-game world working with Square Enix, Electronic Arts and Facebook as Music Director for the mega-hit Tomb Raider (2013); and Audio Director for the Lara Croft Series, Command and Conquer and Dead and Buried: Arena.

Sae Wilmer, with 15 years of experience in finance, business development and, sales and operations with Autodesk and Genentech, manages operations, development and international financing.

Sae and Alex formed their company to address the problems they recognized with the status quo. They dreamed of a company that prioritized quality and collaboration to create exceptional audio for extraordinary projects.
